We’ve almost won! NZ Government delays copyright laws!

The online protests of ‘blacked out’ websites attracted international attention, and culminated in a petition to parliament.

Now the Prime Minister has told the law’s backers they have a month to figure out how they can make it work, or it goes. “Let’s see if that code of practice can be achieved. They’ve been promising it for some time, they say they’re close, we’re giving them another month to do that,” says John Key.

Join The New Zealand Internet Blackout to protest against the Guilt Upon Accusation law 'Section 92A' that calls for internet disconnection based on accusations of copyright infringement without a trial and without any evidence held up to court scrutiny. This is due to come into effect on February 28th unless immediate action is taken by the National Party.

Are you Eating?

If so, you will want to give a donation to animal rescue shelters that are in dire straights in this economy.

It’s a no-brainer — less money buying fewer goods means we’re all cutting back. We’re eating cheaper, growing our own veggies, and looking to cut costs across the board.

Animals rescued from Death Row at SPCA and other shelters don’t have a choice. And the saints who run the shelters are, themselves, in need.

Please. Donate to your local shelter. Now. Before it’s too late for an innocent fur-person.
